What made your day a crap one?

I have Covid, full on loss of taste and sense of smell. Banging headache, ache all over, coughing and sneezing feeling crap. Even Fetimans Ginger Beer has no taste whatsoever. Can’t have any cold meds as most contain ibuprofen and that doesn’t mix with my other meds, can’t have anymore paracetamol as up to limit on them.

Yeah but of course it dos t stop you getting it. Also have the flu vaccine, but that only protects against what WHO think will be the main strands.

When I used to get flu regularly there was no way I could lift my head from under the blankets - let alone typing about it on social media.

Real full on flu is very nasty. Just spoke to doctor, recons it’s a viral infection. Said I sounded poorly, advice to take it easy, plenty of fluids etc. been sweating buckets and feeling crap. Started coughing up thick nasty phlegm with a red tinge so got to keep an eye on that.

Yep, having the flu vaccine means nothing.
I had it back in December and I’m just getting over the flu. It’s zonked me out the last two weeks.

Same here, had the vaccine and still got the flu. I felt really rough for just over two weeks.

40% alcohol is best to kill the virus as much as possible in your stomach, because, you’re drinking your own fleme, mucus and saliva.

I haven't had flu or a bad cold for years but I used to swear by a cocktail whisky and Stones Green Ginger wine with a big boy's curry on the side.
