Nothing. My cake of C R Salter refuses to die and I’ve several tubs of Signature on the go which don’t seem to be taking much of a dent. Shaving quite irregularly at the moment too. Oh aye, the vintage Floris soap in its mug is wonderful soap and at this rate, I’ll be full grey before it’s done. Aye, it’s a grand game this traditional shaving.

Great soap- if a little finicky about being diluted too much- but the scent wasn’t anything to write home about. I’ll buy more PAA if easily available in the UK but not this scent and not if I have to pay for it from the US.

We don't use tube wringers so much in the UK,

Maybe with inflation it might be worth an investment. I think that art shops sell them for paint tubes.

If I add too much water (and I have very hard water in this area of the uk) it loses some of its protection and I can feel the edge of the blade more than I did before I over diluted it. Slickness doesn’t change.

That's 100% true. While very slick, if overhydrated, loses its texture.

In your situation, I would suggest bottled water.
