Has anyone been up to much today?

Me, I have been decorating my sons bedroom with a fresh lick of paint, fixing problems other IT engineers create and cannot fix (why they are messing with configuration files if they don't understand is beyond me), bit of shopping, bit of video production and more.

How about you guys?

Painted the living room, stairs and the landing. Then glossed the bannister. Took me all afternoon but glad its done.
I've got a couple of knots o remove, which I'm hoping I cam squeeze in tomorow.

Fiddled with new (to me) bike.
Adjusting clutch pedal and brake lever to suit me better type thing.
Plus a once over in the garden and turned the compost.
Almost time to watch TDF then a glass of scotch later.

I've cut the grass beacuse it's finally stopped raining for long enough, several tigers are now homeless. I have also ripped more of my DVD collection to move them onto the NAS. A pretty relaxing day overall, plan for this evening is a Chinese takeaway and continue watching Game of Thrones. Party animals we are!

A small bit of drizzle gave me an excuse not to spend 2 hours doing the lawn. What a crap summer it has been weather wise.

Went to the dog pound with the young lad to see if we could find something suitable to adopt. It was a negative so I bailed out of the place as quickly as possible before I start getting a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye looking at all these poor homeless creatures.

Breakfast in a local cafe. Could barely move after it, so back home for afternoon sofa time, internet surfing, snooze.

Young lad then begged me to bring him up to the footie pitch to a hit a few balls. An hour of fresh air and a bit of exercise.

Home, shower, cooked a bit of supper - chilling for the evening now.

After a failed attempt to get on the Wolfman Razors wait list, I've grabbed my e-cig and a beer, and am now waiting for the mailman to deliver my Wolf Whiskers brush. Indolence at it's finest.

The missus is out of town for the weekend at a women's church retreat. :)

I've spent I don't know how many hours chasing down all the interior for two bathrooms. Bloody hell. Haven't even settled on half yet. And I have a pile of catalogues and brochures on the table before me.

But we took an hour off to watch the first ep of Marcella on 'flix. Anyone seen it?

Shopping first thing for me, then hoping that nobody breaks things at work (I'm on call). I may pull out a Strat today if everything is quiet.

I have just finished Banshee, what a ride! One of the best things on telly.

Anyhoo not to derail the thread, I had a fun day yesterday. I went to Wigan to watch United in a pre season friendly. Unlike a lot of United games tickets were plentiful so there was a good group of about 15 of us. Got in a cracking pub pre match just outside the station that had a fine selection of real ales, unfortunately I started to drink some ale called Jaipur, being 5.9% this was not a session beer.

Before long I was very very merry and being in Wigan I decided to have my first ever pie barm! When you are aled up I'm not sure there is a finer local delicacy to be had.

Anyway details from this point on become a little hazy, except to say a fine day out was had by all!
