What did we learn from our last shaves?

Forgo Mud !
* Even tho' I've only used a straight eight times or so (and I'm only using the GD), it is by far the most efficient way for me to shave (huge blade, small face).
* Like an SE, when I lather for a straight, slickness is more important than cushion
* It's all in the wrist, very different from the "locked wrist" you learn using a DE

My old man brought one back from NATO naval exercises in the 80s (had to hand it in in 1994 tho' but). Slow rate of fire, I guess depending on the magazine, but amazing. I shot handguns and HV rifles at school, a few Navy relics at the Granton RNXS range in the 90s, and bits n bobs as an adult in Norway, the USA & the Netherlands, but haven't for a few years now). My pal in Florida has one of these, a 357 chambered 1911, he calls it "The Joker" :D.

Oh my days! It is as simple as that. Had an evening shave, with the sublime "1912 Cashmere" from @Fox - First use, stunning stuff. Looking forward to the next week where I put it through it's paces :) Currently encoding the video as we speak.

I have learned that I shouldn't give up on a razor I don't understand.
I've dug out my Durham Duplex razor after more than a year and put the last 'Personna pathology' blade in it.
I finally get it. Great shave and it is FUN! I need to get more blades and start a pass around.
