What constitutes a Pass-

I often read of folk classifying their Shave by the number of passes. My method is to start on my RH cheek and do WTG,AGT passes until I am happy with the feel. Then I deal with the neck in a similar manner, then onto the neck.
On the upper lip and chin I generally shave downward with an occasional sideways stroke,I never go Against the Grain in those Two areas.
Do you adhere to a rigid pattern of passes, or do you deal with are area of your face in a different manner.

I do a first pass on my face and neck in one direction. This is followed by shaving the same real estate in a different direction. Over time, by mapping my beard direction, I find that an inital WTG folllowed by a second ATG provides the best results.

One down, one across, quick check on known problem areas with possible clean-up (which depends on the razor and blade combination that day). In reality, on the across it's across higher up, and then lower down becomes a hybrid across/against.

I’ve always classed a pass as what you do between lathering and re-lathering your face.
This. For me this constitutes one time over the face, regardless of direction(s), inclusive of minor buffing that takes place before any re-application of lather.
