What are your top three De safety razors?

p.b

Forum GOD!
1. Rockwell 6s
2. Henson AL13 ++
3. King C Gillette.

I only own 3 and they are the ones above.
Bought the Henson first, then had the King C gifted to me , and bought the Rockwell a week ago.

I don't think i am going to end up having 10 or so like some of you guys. Rockwell doing well for me.
Henson wise I love it, but it gives me irritaion at the moment. Trying a few different blades.
Yeah - that’s what I said, even after a few years. Eventually it got me though 🤣

So i have 2 adjustable classic Gillettes in my "collection"...
1959 Gillette Fatboy
1974 Gillette Super Adjustable 84

The 59 was one i found at a flea-market moons ago and kinda introduced me to shaving being a hobby. The 74 i forgot i had it and got it about a moon ago or so. I luckily found it in the last box of my stuff that got saved last year. It is a few months younger than me but close enough to be my hatch day razor.

I want a new and fancy adjustable DE in copper if possible for my collection. But that will take time to save dollhairs to even start looking for any new adjustables.

Funny you should write that ...

I'm wondering if I've gone mad considering a Gillette manufactured in the year of my birth to be part of my "collection"

No not mad but i'm mad so who knows... once i learned Gillettes had born times stamped on them moons ago i started looking for what the razors looked like and what to check on them for dates for the year and quarter i found at flea-markets and i don't remember if my 74 was bought at a flea-market or a pawn type shop but seeing it was close i got it and knowing me it wasn't expensive.

There are internet things showing what Gillette razors were made by year and usually quarters and what the letter/number are. This should give you the info you will need... best of luck... mine is a t4

I'm up to three now

1. Blackland Blackbird Lite - I've only been shaving with this razor for a week. It's freak'n awesome
2. Rockland 6S - first DE safety razor. Learned allot moving up the plates from beginner to aggressive
3. Remington DE - just got this at an antique show. Not even sure what model it is? It's pretty nasty and needs a good clean. Not sure if I'm ready to rip it apart or just spend $35 plus postage and sending it to an expert?
