Some time ago bought on ebay wacker jubilar from 2010 , when it arrived in US it was obvious that blade close way of center. Friend in US dismanteld razor to see what is problem and to our suprise taper was ground way of , and somone tried to fix that with drilling uneveen holes and putting double washer on one side bat that didnt solved problem. After much trouble problem was solved using washers ground to compesate uneven taper.

I was amazed that razor with this kind of problems can leave his workshop , maybe he gifted it to somone or it was left buy mistake so I sent him mail about 12 days ago , after not receiving response sent them on Monday message on facebook they repplayed on Wendsdey with following :
"Hi Mr. Mandic, sorry for the delay. We are always interested in feedbacks of our clients and so I forwarded your email to Mr. Wacker for his comment. It seems that he was very busy during the last days, as you did not receive an answer. I'm going to give him a reminder today."

Until now didnt receive any response , hope it will arrive next week as Im really interested how this happened , especially as I couldnt find any complains about his work.

Here are some photos

Sorry to hear you had that kind of an experience with a Wacker product. Makers are human and not all quality control is perfect so these annoying things do happen occasionally. Kind of makes a mockery of the oft encountered "you get what you pay for" . Hope you do eventually receive a reply.

Blades I have encountered that don't close dead center usually have had a warped tang. Once the tang is straightened they close just fine.

That's what I was thinking, that the tang may be warped rather than unevenly ground - it's not possible to tell from the photos. The solution of using washers ground to correct the warp is one that I've used before - I like it because you hardly notice the washer once the scales are in place. I once broke a razor trying to straighten it using a vice - I don't recommend this method unless you have the ability to heat the tang so that it becomes malleable. That's a skill I don't have.

Yes, there are different ways to straighten a bent tang. The use of a vise with 3 strategically placed pieces of steel round stock to slowly, very slowly, straighten the bend. Two out of three tangs I straightened this way but one broke. The other method, as you say, is to heat the tang but you have to be careful not remove the temper in the blade by using a heat sink of some sort. Never tried that method. The simplest way is with washer though.

Extreme sharpness is ephemeral!
Yeah you should not even be placing the tang on the flat surface just the spine that's the only way you can tell if there is a warp, it looks pretty straight to me.

Jamie's right.. The steel appears straight. But, it's hard to tell by photos.

Herr Wacker very often uses Natural Horn for scales. Horn, being a natural product, has a tendency to move, and the Wackers, while a great razor, have a reputation for troublesome scales. I have no trouble with mine however ... Now, where's that wood?

Now wait, let me get this clear, this was a new razor from Wacker, or used from private party?
Wacker themselves I'm sure would not let one of their razors leave the shop looking like that, so who ever owned it before, must have used it to chop wood, or any other abusive kind of job with it, they look to have really butchered it up with scale replacement etc. I would have complained to eBay and seller, and would have sent it back, unless you were buying that razor as is, with pics and explanation of shoddy work done to it. Correct me if I am wrong to assume this .
