An interesting video about the situation post WW II regarding nuclear armed soviet bombers en route to targets in North America. They would be difficult to intercept and destroy. Canada built an completely indigenous all weather fighter to cope with that and even exported them.

House of the Dragon. The Game of Thrones sequel or prequel if you like. Used to enjoy GoT massively back in the day so thought I’d try this. Absolutely fine so far.
I’m a few episodes into that as well. It’s not bad. I couldn’t handle the unending misery and anguish of GoT though. House of the Dragon is an easier watch for me.

The wife and I started season two of SERVANT. It’s a slog but also kind of addicting. Constant sense of unease and suspense.

Yeah I know what you mean with this. Seems like a slower build up. Bit gentler. We've one left and it's getting good now

I’ve forgotten where I left off. I need to start it up again.

I also fizzled-out on season two of The Witcher, but I don’t know that I plan to pick it up again. It’s not great. I’ve read the first three books in the series and the show really seems to kind of get lost in the weeds.

Yeah I felt exactly the same. We just stopped watching it before even Henry Cavill left. Enjoyed the first series though. Such a shame...

Books. They're very good. The author was Polish if I remember rightly.
Yes.

They’re incredibly easy to read considering they’ve been translated. My difficulty was with the timelines weaving in and out. I generally prefer linear stories that follow main characters.

Reymond E Feist’s Riftwar Saga was a favorite childhood fantasy epic of mine. I re-read it every few years. They based an old PC game on it in 1993. Still waiting for someone to take it seriously and adapt it for television.
