I really enjoyed Black Mirror, it’s one I’ll watch again.

I watched the first series of "Succession" this past week due to the recent chorus of praise around the show ending, and ... I don't get it. This is like two episodes of "Suits" stretched out to ten hours. Where's the appeal? What did I miss? Will it get different (better)?

I've now watched the entire show (out of, uh, social obligation), and to answer my own question: no, it doesn't change. I honestly feel kinda gaslit by the praise this show has received, because I couldn't find much substance to it. The best episodes are probably s02e10 and s04e08. All the characters are empty shells, not one of them is likable, there's no growth or redemption happening. You watch horrible people be horrible for fourty hours. Greek tragedy it ain't.

Makes me want to revisit Amsterdam.
