Just started watching what was supposed to make GoT violence levels be child’s play. On Ep 3 now and not as explicit as GoT by any stretch. Altered Carbon, on Netflix.
By making reference to Game of Thrones, I should hasten to add that this is a whole other genre. Future sci-fi, where our lives are in chips in our necks and can be transplanted into new bodies, or sleeves as they are called. The main antagonist is woken up after 250 years of ‘sleep’ in a new sleeve to solve a murder.

Stranger Things Season 2 - really enjoyed it, just too short at 9 episodes
El Chapo Season 2 - not in the same class as Narcos, but still reasonably enjoyable
The Punisher Season 1 - like this Marvel character and enjoyed this one quite a bit
Homeland (Latest Season) - watching this one week to week and is top class as always. Missing Quinn and Devious Dar though.

I've watched the first two episodes, and I guess I might continue with it, but only because of the cast (Ciarán Hinds, Jared Harris, Tobias Menzies). Production values are so-so (it was apparently not cheap, but it still looks like a stage play a lot of the time), and I find the story to be basically non-existent so far; the music alone does all the heavy lifting suspension-wise. It's like they took all the boring parts of what happened on Game Of Thrones beyond the Wall and turned them into a series. No idea how they intend to fill ten episodes; guessing from the trailer it seems like there will be ice Zombies?
