It was discontinued long before I got into this game but everyone always spoke of it fondly... Some said it was the quintessential English barbershop scent, others likened it to a tumble dryer sheet

The creams all work well enough for me, never tried them pre-reformulation so no idea what I'm missing... Ignorance is bliss

I haven't tried the original. I get a sweet citrus note with a woody undernote. Almost something sherbet-like as well. It's very nice.

Finally called into TOBS yesterday and picked up a tub. Agree with Chris above, very light scent, certainly not in your face. And yes def citrus with a very light woody note. Off today so a shave planned a little later, so a shave update later.

Not sure if it’s me but tye tub seems a little smaller .. will have to compare with another TOBS tub

TOBS MD wasn’t in the shop yesterday which is unusual as I wanted to ask him about the associated products, and the few shop assistants were busy with very loud American tourists ! I will pop in again tomorrow and see if I can find out,
