Gentlemen,

It comes a bit late but I don't think there is a dedicated thread on this set :) I've just received mine yesterday after a long struggle with the postal services but it's finally here!

Opening this bad boy is an entire experience, that's for sure! Music, lights and beautiful packaging.

I will take some time to try out all combinations before doing a more detailed review but I already include here a first set of pictures I have taken.

What a beautifully crafted piece. Really quite stunning. I know over Black Friday they had a few more sets available just shy of $200. But the Holy Black site don’t ship to the U.K. Very well done for getting your hands on it, looking forward to your review of all the products.

Two individual soaps blended together,
And supposedly complimentary to one another. Will be interesting to see how that works.

Saw this on another shaving forum, my immediate thought was less expenditure and more profit. Unless each component was double strength.

Why double the strength Nish? The ratio will govern which fragrance is stronger. I think it should have been two soaps like you had two me the aftershaves and EDTs, @Thomas have you found the novel surprises in your box they mention on their site?

I think the combination of scents or soap, will require less fragrance/essential oil; due to less prodcut. In addition the marrying scents, I think will be flat rather than to build a bouquet, the latter being more difficult. But time will tell :)

I get what your saying, yes the amounts for the fragrance oil will be less as there is less soap from each scent, however they'll still need to have about 3% scent over all.
