Well, the satin version looks way better than the polished one, in my opinion. The polished version looks cheap, almost like a cheap clone from China. I have a few AC SE razors under my belt, but I'm definitely going to skip this one.

My first Shave, loaded with Schick Proline. Found that getting correct Shaving angle quite difficult, and not aided by lack of blade feel. Areas where I thought as cleared well by response of Razor, were in fact not cleared well - upper lip round mouth and tip of chin.
Will persevere as Razor feels good in the hand.

My second Shave with The Atelier, and slowed it down a lot, and got a much better qualty finish, though still have problems around nostrils, edge of mouth,chin tip .

Does anyone have both this razor and the Alpha Spirit in SS? If they do, how do they shave side by side, and which is both the smoothest shave and the most efficient?

Yes but not sure yet. Only one shave with the Atelier

Had my first shave with the Atelier and WOW.

Great razor.

I might even say, better than the Paradigm SE I have

BBS in two passes and touch-ups.

Smooth, efficient and very comfortable.

My 3rd Shavewith The Atelier.
Have to be honest, I want to like it, but so far cannot get a good finish around mouth and chin tip. I do have a strong harsh beard.Strangely I can get a good finish on Cheeks and neck.

I have both but Jury is out, Atelier is good in some areas but not as good as Spirit around lips,mouth and chin
