I believe the razor used to be $398 but have recently been increased to $698

I fail to see the allure / benefit in a handmade DE razor.

1. It looks poorly finished, esp. for a $700 item.
2. the level of aggression must vary between each sample so customers can't know how it'll shave before purchasing one.

regarding the design - the open comb looks very open (too much) and therefore too easy to cut oneself in my view. I wouldn't even take a punt on this for $100.

Classic bandwagon jumping, overpriced, sledgehammer to crack a walnut stuff. $700 to fit a 30 cent blade into it to shave with. The world is going mad.

Always dreamed of owning a shaving brush made in Pittsburgh. @Darkbulb - any comments on the brush. Not sure what "Grade A' badger hair" would be. At $198, getting close to the elite brush artisans, but not much out of Shavemac/etc. territory. My interest wanes if $8 knot and $190 handle.

It's a neat design though.

I wonder about the sudden increase in price...
In December of last year the razor was $398 and the brush was $140

Handmade loses its appeal when precision is required. Look at Timeless, they have two blade gaps available, .95 mm and .68 mm, Our own Nishy has tested both, and reports a distinct difference between the two despite the margin being only .27 mm. That's tiny. Based on the fact that that thing looks like it was made with a hacksaw, I dread to think what the shave would be like and I bet any two would be wildly different.
