Stirling Soaps? Good, great or SoSo?

Was gifted part of Tub yesterday, friend did not like. Have not used yet, seems sort of hard, like Soap is old.

Wondering if this is normal, or it old? No way to make sense of date code?

Have looked at Sterling Soaps at RE, but never bought.

Sterling site don’t list so it cold be seasonal, or pulled scent.

Sprayed some Distilled Water on, might help soften?

My guess would be at least 12 months, before, final production global market. 3oz means beta testers.
