SS adjustable, what choice?

I like the idea of a SS adjustable. Am I right in saying that the only commercially available one is the Rex Ambassador?
Other I can remember are the Rocnel/Barbaros and the Rocnel Sailor. Is there anything else out there?

I can recommend the B&R Adjustable if you have the funds.. And there is one on eBay at the moment :okay:

I was initially shocked by the £250 price tag, but....
It is a fantastic razor. It is difficult to acquire. One of the few SS DE razors I wouldn't mind owning.
So I think £200 would be reasonable - except it's well above my £20 limit for razor purchases and it is a modern DE razor and I'm a vintage SE guy after all...

it does look great, and so does the Sailor, but they both have unispiring chunky handles. And they are very heavy. The Rex has a nicer handle but I read reports of the adjuster screw moving while shaving because of the position close to the head, which is a major design fault IMO.

What is this sailor razor you speak of?

You might want to contemplate the Rockwell stainless steel razor as the different bottom-plates allow for adjustments to the razor.
Also, the new Karve Brass razor has five different bottom-plates that would make it an adjustable razor, as well.

If you are looking for a true adjustable without having to change plates, then the ones mentioned above would be your best options.

Yes I had the Rockwell and sold it, great razor but I mean a truly adjustable one, like you are saying. Just wondering if there are any more out there?

Beautiful but a crazy price. I guarantee my Gillette Fatboy and Gillette Slim Adjustable shave as good as these very, very expensive razors. I paid less than $40.00 for each for my vintage Gillette razors. Don't get me wrong. I respect each others desires. Just not for me.
