LOL. sounds like you understand. what I did was take a one 16th brazen rod and glued an end on to it I push it through and put a little clip that you squeeze slide it on let go and it stays. that was as close as I could get to markup bolts LOL I hadn't really looked for any because I haven't really started doing it yet. I was hoping my little setup would work, and it might but mark up bolts are certainly good to have. thanks for the tips

Having simple tools like the bolts in the link I provided will make restoring razors a more joyful and less stressful experience for you. My hands are trashed, so I do know how difficult it can be working with a disability. You just have to learn how to work around your weaknesses. I get frustrated, and even a little sad sometimes, remembering how I used to be, before my body started rebelling against me. I try not to dwell on it too much and I just put my head down and keep working.

Same here. I can't feel my feet anymore and when I try to remember back when I could, I draw a blank.

I am in Stillwater Oklahoma. but the only help I've got is through emails and online. and you are well spoken and easy to understand just about everybody on here he is and I appreciate all your help. I get flustered pretty easy and just take a break for a couple days I'm getting ready to put my first blade in scales I made I'm not sure whether to put the wedge or the blade in first LOL so I'm watching videos to refresh my memory I pretty much know everything except which one goes first LOL

I'd dearly love to have a sander like that... I worked 40+ years as a Tool & Die Maker, and no shop I ever worked in had a sander that nice.... We had to make jewels out of junk..

I recall working part time making molds in a mold shop. The lathe was so worn out, I had to hold the spindle down with a wooden stick because the bearings were so worn... Tough to hold the spindle down and work the carriage simultaneously... The miller was better, but not by much!

But, if it was easy... anyone could do it!

Yeah, I've watched his videos before. I think he does the blacksmithing too. I used to glue my wedges but now I just make sure to peen them tightly and they're good to go.
