So i have used the Folks soap for a full week and really enjoyed it, I do like a stronger scented Bay Rum with Cloves and Anise, but this is nice, i have the stronger scented Stirling so this is a nice change, lets say Sweeter and less pungent. It has Produced really good lathers all week using natural badger brushes, i have had no issues with my skin and it has always given good protection and slickness. It has left my face feeling nourished after each shave. Next week i will give it a run out with both a Synthetic and a Smog-Hog.
The Balm needs a good shake and now it is in a spray bottle (one of those small ones from an air travel pack) i have the amount i need off to a tee, about 4 short sprays gives a good coverage which absorbs easily.
So all in all i can recommend both the soap and the balm.
The Blutt - Polsilver performed flawlessly.
Enjoy your day all.

Really enjoyed using the Yaqi Diagonal razor- 80g with a short handle and just the right level of blade feel. I also have four samples of MdC to check out the scents and see if my skin is ok with them (I had problems with the Argumes and Original after a number of uses but hopefully these will be fine) it was certainly a great lather

My S.O.T.D today consisted of......
Prep Hot Wash.
Blackland Shaving Towel.
Brush Semogue Pegasus Mistura.
Soap MdC Rose.
Razors Henson A+++ & Brassbird Lite.
Blade Tatara
Aftershave Proraso Green Refreshing.

Today's shave was a late one and my first use of the MdC Rose, I think my nose is broken as I couldn't get any scent.
My favourite is the Original.
The Brassbird was sublime to use, I am really pleased with it, quality quality quality.
A stand out shave from face to head and I look and smell Puka.

a solid 9.8/10 shave.

I will now leave you all to enjoy your night toodles.

With a synthetic brush the MSC soap created vast amounts of protective and slick lather- far better than the boar I used yesterday. And a first use of the Yaqi Ghost 0.90 which I understand is a copy of the recent Paradigm razor so I put it on the copied handle to complete the look. The handle is titanium and the head stainless steel so the balance is ‘off’ and too head heavy for my preference but the shave seemed very smooth and surprisingly close and I think I’ve over-shaved my neck so maybe fewer passes next time I use this razor.

PS- last use of the Myrsol F/Extra which I think is my second bottle. Since using B&M ASL I’m less impressed with Myrsol so I’m unlikely to buy another bottle, this one lasted 93 uses.
That knot really looks like the DS cosmetic T4 knot. I wonder if they are actually similar or the same.
