Fairly standard effort this morning. The workmanlike Derby Extra gave a solid performance in the Henson with the Razorock Gold supplying the foam via a face lather. Two passes plus pick-ups resulted in DFS. The Uppercut Deluxe aftershave smells very pleasant, but despite the name it unfortunately possesses a total lack of punch. The SJOL Mandarin & Patchouli post-shave gel smells similar and did manage to give the Uppercut a small boost.

Vaseline Healthy Bright Soap Bar with Vitamin B3.
Brush: Omega 11137.
Face Lather.
Lather: Arko Shave Stick.
Blade: Derby Usta. (D2)
Razor: Baili BD191 head w/Muhle R89 Handle.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Arko Comfort Aftershave-Cologne./Aloe Vera Gel.

Yes I went for the long handle (95mm) - also not as wide as the standard smaller handle. And not so heavy…. I also have a titanium vestige and la faulx handle - the last one is the best, for me. A bit shorter than the long handle on the Maurice.

wow, that was fun... an impeccable shave with the GOAT.. 1st time with a veggie soap.. excellent lather but lacked the residual slickness that I'm used to with tallow soaps..


Shaving.. to be enjoyed, not endured.

Last time I had a Aesop / Sori Yanagi bowl I didn’t have CH3 sized brushes so it felt a little small this morning - fortunately the very soft Platinum fibres encourage face lathering so it wasn’t that much of a problem but it does remind me why I preferred the Gile’s Pottery pedestal bowl. The Vetyver MdC smells delightful but mildly irritating to me skin so I’ll finish off the sample but it’s off the possible purchase list
