Tuesday 12th May...

Moving on to the Lord Platinum blade today. Today's shave was the simplest I've had for a long time. One of those where it all just works. I waited until last to pick up this Tech. The irony is that it felt like the most user friendly of them all to my hand. Wasn't convinced of the corner tabs to hold in the blades but that was fine too. This Boots vintage soap lathers really well and the new Zenith boar worked up the lather really well. It's the largest and densest boar I have now and will be interesting to see when it's fully broken in. I don't know why but it reminds me of Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons I think his name was. 🙄 That may end up being his nickname.

A really simple and easy shave. Enjoy your day..

Yeah- Zenith boar brushes are fantastic. Is yours bleached or unbleached? If you’ve only experienced the bleached I’d highly recommend trying the unbleached.

He's this guy...

So unbleached not that I was particularly searching for bleached or unbleached. Just wanted to give boar another chance as I generally favour synthetic. He's a completely different animal to my other Omega and Semogue boars. The sheer density of bristles is crazy to what I'm used to. He looked like this after one use...

What's the benefit of bleached Vs unbleached if you don't mind me asking?

Cheers

Yaqi Castor with Personna Gem blade.
Omega Pure Bristle brush.
Stirling Faskally soap and splash.
'My Beard' balm.

Well that was an easy bbs, and comfortable too. The Yaqi Castor is an excellent razor, its not as bitey as an R41, but ever so slightly more efficient and a little smoother.
The Stirling soap performed flawlessly and the Omega brush whipped up a lather in seconds. The Personna Gem blades are definitely one of the best out there for a balanced smoothness and sharpness.
Smooth and smelling great.
Happy Shaving 😎

Tue.12th May

Aleppo soap-Shave pre wash
Omega 11126 boar
Hampshire Wool Fat soap
Asylum Injector
Schick Proline ( 3 )
Puig Quorum A/S Lotion

ThoughI like its heft,I do not think it is as efficient as some of my Vintage Injectors. As a result I am not using it as much as I should, though today’s Shave went quite well.
