Today was a different shave. No brush, no lather, only a shaving gel. Heavy on the face, but if the skin is wetter than normal you just lose protection & slickness during the whole shave.
However: I did a 2 pass shave (WTG x2), no overshaving. In most areas you didn't have to reapply the gel, residual slickness was there, even if the first layer of protection had left.
The result was very good though, I prefer the most aggressive baseplate (1.55) of the WR2 clone, cuts cleanly the dense hair easily and deep enough, has more bite, but the cutting angle is very wide due to the bigger gap. Very good build quality, no alignment problem, excellent handle too (SS). Price 17€ with the discount.
Although shaving gel did the job and the balm felt nice but a bit stingy on the face, this way of shaving is not for me. It can be used for a quick efficient shave, but it's not a ritual.

Boom a 10/10 face and head shave.
I don't know why but the FlyDear blades work exceptionally well with the Stinger.
The St Johns Bay Rum is the best Bay rum aftershave I have ever used, even though it does turn you into the human torch
, for the first 5 minutes ha ha.
