Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ BULLDOG Lemon & Bergamot Energize Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10005 boar.
Mug Lather.
Lather: Vintage Williams Mug Shaving Soap.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum.(D2)
Razor: Baili BD 177 Rose Gold TTO.

Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+ Witch Hazel./Williams Aqua Velva ASL. Relaxing Sunday morning shave.

Second maiden shave of the weekend with the vintage Williams Mug Shaving Soap which, I repeated as I did with the vintage Surrey shaving soap in my previous shave yesterday I gave the puck a quick wash by hand, then let it bloom for a minute in warm tepid water in my shaving mug to activate the soap ingredients... Using my damp boar brush, I lathered up for 30 seconds, discarding the bloom water before hand and was rewarded with an acceptable good slick performing lather that lasted the full shave, which didn't dry out or dissipate leaving an excellent post shave feel lather. The small differences between both soaps are the vintage Surrey shaving soap has instant better slickness, as with the vintage Williams I had to add extra water to the tips of the brush in between each pass to retain it's slickness, which wasn't a big issue.

The vintage formation of Williams, like the modern is also a thirsty soap too, also I could detect the scent more with the vintage Williams. What more can I say apart from I'm equally impressed as both of these vintage shave soaps provided a slick protective lather in a short space of time leaving a good post shave feel. what more is required I ask.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling smooth and smelling divine.😉

I have not done any Shave reports recently as I was away last weekend tilll late Wednesday. I did Shave on Friday but never got round to doing a report.Today I used the same Razor and soap, and again found that I got an excellent Shave 2 days after the last one. Leaving it any longer has resulted in me getting inconsistent results.

Saturday 26th April…

A quick shave this morning and with a cream too which is unusual for me. I think I’m slowly developing a floral scent addiction. Lavender and rose are the main culprits but anything flowery is very pleasant especially with this summery weather we are having in the UK.

I think this GEM blade is on something like its #5 use but I’ve lost track as I’ve not been using the Ever Ready razors lately. It’s lost its initial extreme sharpness anyway.

One pass with touch ups today as have lots on. Easy.
