18 months ago this week I used my first Artisan Shave soap. It was Stirling Soap Company Sandalwood, I did not care for the scent and have given the soap away. However, I was completely hooked on the thick rich protective lather. It was unlike anything I had used in almost 50 years of wet shaving. Stirling came out with a limited release called Arance Mandarini, to this day it is my absolute favorite scent profile. I still use Stirling soaps regularly, they are by far the best value I have found in shave soaps.

Proraso pre-shave, Stirling Soap Company Arance Mandarini soap, Omega EVO, Timeless Razors Ti .68 OC/SB combo, Tatra platinum, Omega alum, Thayers Toner, Stirling Arance balm and EDP. Shaves like this make the expenses all worth while.

Monday 24th August...

Decided to try this shavette from Captain Fawcett. Not sure whether I was more excited with the free beer mats the Captain sent me than with the shavette itself though 🙂 He even has his own envelopes!

Anyway, the shavette is lovely and very well made but it does sit at the wild end of the 'Mild to Wild' spectrum I was once introduced to at the start of my shaving journey. This shave tonight definitely shows how far I have come with shavettes. Extremely pleased. I would have lost an ear lobe with this a few months ago. 👍

N.B. Home Alone Factor 9/10 😱

Nighty night...
