How would you say it compares to e.g. the Synbad, AP Shave Co Titanium or dscosmetic A2S, if you have experience with them?

Not sure what the fibre is, it is different than the synbad, it does have more backbone but not in a bad way. It's easy to splay and feels plush on the face. I haven't had the chance to try titanium but I had it once in my hands for a custom brush I've made. To me it felt stiff and something that won't splay easily so I didn't want to get one for tryout.

Both my standard and extra dense XL knots are Sorona and I would rate them both far better than the Synbad which I found lacking in backbone and better than the Titanium which I thought stiff and unyielding with a large glue bump (from memory). In fact I was so disappointed with that knot Andrew gave me my money back. I’ve not tried the DS A2S
