I tested the Joserra soap that arrived unexpectedly this week, a gift from a good friend on the forum. I didn't shave it today; I waited a day to give it a better evaluation.
It's been a long time since a soap surprised me so much on its first use.
The jar has a lime scent that reminds me of Tremonia's Dark Lines. As another member pointed out, once it lathers, the aroma is much cleaner, completely natural, with a touch of mint (not menthol) that makes it perfect for summer.
I lathered it in a bowl, loading it with about 20 strokes. It seemed like it wasn't producing any lather, so I loaded it with another 10 strokes. Clearly, I overdid it. Once it starts lathering, it explodes and produces enough lather for 5 or 6 strokes.

A lather that requires a lot of water, very, very dense, adheres perfectly to the skin, softens the beard, and glides on beautifully.
No itching or anything strange, just a very, very pleasant, cool (not cold) sensation.
Excellent post-shave feel, skin feels cared for, zero tightness, and you can barely feel the lotion.
The only downside (there's always a downside) is that the next day my face feels similar to how tallow soaps leave me, slightly oily. This isn't a problem with the soap, but with my skin; it happens to me with all tallow soaps and quite a few vegetable soaps (I suppose it's related to the vegetable butters used in their production).
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the friend who sent me the soap again and to sincerely congratulate Joserra on this fantastic soap. I can't think of anything better after the tropical night we had than a shave with this Brit Tonic to start the week off right.
Happy Monday!
