The Stainless Karve works very well for me.
This new blade seemed to take a couple of passes to smooth out, strange how that happens now and again.
Enjoy your day all.

Pre-Shave: Proraso White
Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Feather (5th Use)
Brush: Muhle Chrome Silvertip
Cream: Proraso Sandalwood (Red)
Post-Shave: Alum Block

It's Saturday. I didn't really need to shave, but my whiskers were coming in hot because I did only a 1.5 passes yesterday.

Today I also did 1.5 passes. My technique is getting better and better by the day. I'm less afraid of my R41. Not that I was afraid before, but I'm getting through my shaves faster and muscle memory is starting to kick in in practice areas.

I am going to lay off the TOBS for awhile because I'm curious if the oils are adding to the breakouts. I'm not getting the razor burn in my troubled spots with the TOBS, but I think that is more technique improvement than it is the cream. I am breaking out which is really strange for me and it started coming back once I flipped back to the TOBS.

Today I also decided not to put after shave on. My face is a little dry, but my experience is that my acne clears up faster when my face is dry. I just don't want to put anything unnecessary on it, especially since I'm not use to all the lotions.

I'm on the 5th use with my Feather blade. I'm not getting any tugging in practice areas, but I do feel a bit in areas that require more technique. I have heavy and coarse beard growth and I notice that today and yesterday the shaves aren't as clean. There are some places that need a couple touch ups. The blade misses some strays on the first pass. In my experience that is a sign the blade has left it's prime. The point is I probably can get 3 solid shaves out of the Feather and 4 or 5 decent shaves. I would be curious to hear other people's opinions on that.

Well what a shave this was & not in a good way.
I received some blades from @Bruce the other day which i’m very grateful for.
Gillette Goal which i haven’t heard of,
I made a comment that they looked like Gillette Super Thins and @Bruce kindly sent me some to make my own mind up.
The packaging is Suoer Thins for sure with the only difference being the Goal.
Both also Platinum.
On first stroke i thought these are decent
then after a few strokes i turned the razor and had the most dreadful experience.
The blade was blunt, tuggy & everything else we don’t get from modern blades.
i persevered for another couple of strokes but had to stop as it was ripping me to bits.
Now i’m not to keen on the Timeless so this had my mind thinking is it the blade or razor although i knew all along it was the blade.
I swapped the razor out for the Feather AS-D2 but nope still the same experience from one side of the blade only.
I quickly swapped the blade out to a Nacet and continued with my first pass.
What a difference totally night & day.
i’m going to try this blade again tomorrow,
not the same blade that’s in the bank but another from the same box.
I’m hoping this one blade has escaped the qc department but who knows.
Over all after my experience with this blade i still had a terrific shave although this will probably be my last shave with the Timeless before i stick it on the BST.
i’m in a habit of keeping stuff i’m not using so they are better off with people that will use & appreciate.

When I used to shave with DE’s I owned the timeless bronze and polished steel 95. Both scalloped top caps. Never could get on with them. Fit and finish is superb. And they are quality quality pieces of kit. But as we all know how the mileage varies from one to the other. I’m in the band that timeless never worked for me. 🫠
