Another Feather clone here: it cleared 2.5 days of stubble with style (and probably easier than after just one day).
The Mühle STF Sorona in standard density is just as fabulous as the extra dense version and most definitely my favourite synthetic. Here it’s mounted in a @highlander handle so beautifully made.
I think this’ll be my first and last unscented soap. I thought I’d enjoy a neutral scent during the shave but, while I don’t like really in yer face scents, I miss having a smell to the lather during a shave. Who knew?

Up today was the Super smooth, brilliant Feather AS-D1, its reported blade gap is around 0.65 - 0.74, i cannot nail it down as gospel though, therefore the RSP was set at #3.7 as that should be the same. The thing is, the Feather has a neutral / negative blade exposure which is what makes it so smooth. They do take some time to master as the shave angle sweet-spot is very small. I knew the RSP at this setting was not going to feel the same.
I am pretty much dialled in to the feather razors these days and minute adjustments on the 1st strokes had me cutting. Few strokes on the RSP had me down to about #1.9 for the same feeling on the skin. Surprisingly enough, the rinse off the razors had both sides feeling the same, i completed my 2 pass shave routine for a very comfortable BBS finish with no indication at all from the post shave routine.
Summary:-
Its been a fun week with the RSP and i really like the razor, for the cost, it has excellent build quality, feels good in the hand, looks good (i would prefer an 85mm handle like the REX), it has been able to replicate the shaves of some of my favourite razors and always delivered a great shave. I think they got this one right (Mostly, but the handle is a personal preference). I am sure it will work well with lots of different blades which is where i will probably head next with it.
