Wilkinson classic TTO razor
Dollar General Studio 35 men's de blade
Omega boar brush
Captain's Choine sandalwood shaving cream
Gillette aftershave gel
Sandalwood Reve bergamot, nutmeg, musk eau de cologne

Hot shower prep with Old Spice extra clean soap

I was surprised that the Studio 35 blade stood up to a second full shave. Most house brand blades only last a single shave. The Gillette took care of any minor irritation and the Sandalwood reve provided a more sofistcated finish.

Thursday 19th March...

Thought I'd give a sample of the MMGP Sicilian Lemon soap a try this morning. It's got a lovely lemony scent matched with a very slick lather. I'm always cautious when I use vegetal soaps for the first time but this was great. This 'Omeggatto' synthetic brush has lots of backbone and is a super brush although the strange smiling cat face is a little odd during the shave!

The Nacets are becoming an absolute winner now. This is #3 for this blade and with plate 3 on the Rockwell it has given an unbelievably smooth finish. Definitely having 100 of these very soon.

Enjoy the Sun while it lasts!!!

When i bought this razor i thought it was a Type G1v1, as it has Schick on the spring not Eversharp, i now believe it is an early Canadian Ivory E3v6, it also had the spring forced so the bottom plate was loose. I filed down 1 side of the retaining clip making it the same as my E2 then reset the spring to hold the base of the head tightly, it works a treat and i am also able to fully clean the inside of the razor.
Result.
Enjoy your day all.

I had the house to myself today so I thought I'd take my time and have a nice relaxing afternoon shave.
Best laid plans and all that.
I got half way through the second pass and grocery home delivery arrived that no one had thought to inform me about 😅
So I had to quickly wipe off the soap and run around like a blue arsed fly dealing with the delivery before I could resume.

Eventually I was able to get back to it and no sooner had I started, I managed to slice a spot off my neck that I had been avoiding.
A spot that seemed to have its own infinite supply of blood.
That wasn't fun but the alum block took care of it eventually.

Despite my distraction and absent minded idiocy, the Fatboy thankfully delivered an idiot proof shave.
finished off with Stirlings executive man balm to go with the soap.

Have a great Thursday!
