It is shaping up to be a busy morning. I've got groceries on order for delivery and I've got a few new products to try.

Lathering up this morning I was reminded of why warm lather from a brush is preferable to cold slimy goop out of an aerosol can. It just is.

I did my first pass with the Trig blade. It seemed to be faltering by the end of the first pass so I loaded a Wilkinson blade and lathered up for the second pass. I had to do a bit of cleanup around my chin and the residual slickness of the Van der Hagen soap was enough to accomplish this. The Nivea was enough to sooth things and the Just like Polo Sport put a nice finish on things. The Axe body spray didn't seem to have much effect. Then again I didn't use half a can like your typical teenager.

I never get a perfect shave with a shavette because I just don’t use it enough but I always find it satisfying and enjoyable. Soap, brush and Speick ASL were all wonderful.
