I have heard that before, but since it is advertised as an open comb I naturally assumed, apparently incorrectly, that it was one.If we exclude the pre 2011 versions ( the real shark ) which were fitted with a fatip and merkur head, the r41 is essentially not an open comb but a kind of hybrid.
If you shave with razor head slightly flat on your face it becomes docile.
there are no mysterious tricks as many phenomena on YouTube want you to believe
It's all about wrist play
and we men should know better

Now would a traditional open comb not connect the teeth like a Red and Black Long Comb Common Bar?
In regards to YT, I am starting to learn that. I should have just trusted my 10 years+ of shaving experience with my original DE razor. I obviously figured out what works for me my face if I didn't have any problems before I started watching how to on YT.

Hot shower prep with the do it all miracle wash. It performed better than I expected. It is fairly heavily scented. To my surprise it didn't strip all the oil out of my skin. Some of these all in one products could strip paint.
The Palmolive is nearly done but giving good service to the end. I lathered up and put in a new Astra. The time for the blade change does help to soften the whiskers. Good reduction on the first pass. Second pass was near BBS so that was enough. It's cold and dry so I used the Nivea. The curve colonge paired well with the body wash.

It’s my favourite single edge razor, It’ll take any blade you throw at it and I’ve never had a bad shave regardless of the set up!

Blade = Lol Salon Blades ( 1 )
Brush = Highlander 2023 Le with Omega Boar
Soap = Ariana & Evans Turkish Coffee
with matching splash
Balm = Gillette Comforting Post Shave.
A very good respectable shave considering i didn’t get on with this blade the last time i used it which was around 2 years ago ish.
Durables.biz what ever that means.
Coated with Titanium ( Apparently ) it seemed to shave very well with no issues.
This company have a few blades all with the swiss flag logo.
Through a little search they have offices in Switzerland & Bangladesh so i’ll assume the blades are made in the latter.
The soap has a wonderful strong scent but for some reason it has left my face a bit stingy which is unusual for me especially as the splash & balm have no alcohol.
Never mind on to tomorrow.
