Shimming a PIls

Depending on angle and pressure (slight difference) I can get a mild, moderate or fairly aggressive shave from the PILS, using the same blade and soap. Never tried to shim the razor.
Wayne do you find the razor to be efficient, regardless of the mild face feel?

I’ve had positive results from shimming in the past however I’m of the opinion you shouldn’t need to. That said it’s a stunning razor and I can understand why you’d want to especially in light of not being able to sell it.

Are you sure you're using the correct end to shave with? Have you tried one of these?

I agree it isn't ideal but I'm stuck with it so may as well make the most of it. If putting a blade under a blade is the worst I have to do to get a decent shave out of it I can live with that.

No Nishy, without the shim the shave is poor.
