FWIW, just received a brush from a GB from another forum, which I entered last December. Point being: Things take time, especially in the context of Corona.. Keep at it, ‘Nish. Looking forward to seeing this coming to fruition, whenever that may be.

Seriously Guys. We bought from Bernd because his Badger knots were supposed to be The Bees Knees. Without that what can he offer? A moulded handle and a generic knot? Not worth the money.

Sorry to say but the Shavemac/Thater synth knots are among the worst I've used, ghastly things.

I haven't actually used one so far, and it might not be the most important aspect, but I have seen an awful lot of Shavemac synth photos where the knot is misshapen. (Doing a quick Google image search, I can easily find several examples right on the first results page.) They generally look very cheap, and seem to be a far cry from the standard and perfection usually associated with Bernd's work. I don't think he's doing himself a favour with these.

No problems with a synthetic knot - may actually be preferred. Purchasing decision also includes price and handle design.

I do like group buys and supporting ATG.
