shave soap and airports

Has anyone taken a soft shaving soap in it's original tub (e.g. B&M) through UK airport security in hand luggae recently? Was it allowed through?

It's... alive!
They've made me put stuff like Papaw ointment (it's waxy and harder than the B&M soaps I have) into a bag for liquids, so you might not want to take a full tub, in case they'd consider it a liquid.

Yes I have taken soap through from northern Ireland..Ireland. and England in my hand luggage they did take it out and looked at it but put it back in again so I think you will be OK..

Last year they made me threw away a tub of croap. I can’t remember if it was Dublin or Manchester… Sorry for resurrecting and old post…

I recon in most cases they would make you throw it away. I wouldn’t risk it, I have always popped it in checked baggage but obviously if you are going hand luggage only it’s a problem. I will be coming back from my holiday with a large collection safely in my checked. If anyone is concerned over checked in luggage and loosing it, buy AirTags or similar. I have used them a few times now and it’s great knowing your bags are on that plane with you.

You're better off just getting either a Dr Harris, Lea, Muhle or La Toja shaving stick, something small that comes with a plastic hard tube container, I have no issue at all travelling.

Our a hard soap .I have taken a tub off B/M..no issues..as long as it's not soft..

Yes I have taken this through no problem but I had to open the lid and some times they put it through the xray machine. But have always given it back to me ..and I have taken other brands with me ..but it must not be soft..as they will take that ..I just take a soap after shave 100mls a brush. And a Gillette mac 3..and I have never had any issues..I do no about soft cream as I took a tub off TOBS and they took that off me ..and I am flying from northern Ireland..🤷‍♂️
