The Portuguese Factory shop says "Pre-Order", and it's not yet listed on Vintage Scent. Any info on when it will be available?

They’re available at jpbarbershop.pt

There’s also another type of fibre (not sure if it’s the same they were using previously on the Pharos) that appears to be the same used in the new Tatara synthetic brushes.

Beautiful, but I wonder when he‘s finally going to make a handle and ring that can accommodate a bigger knot.
Apparently, they lack the machinery necessary to produce anything bigger than 26mm (see this entry by @J349 in last year's LE thread). And if they want to deliver these at scale, it probably makes sense to stick with their existing production line for the other SOCs. But I agree, with synthetics it's often preferable to have a few mm more than with a comparable badger or boar knot.

Nope. I hope soon ...
I ordered one regardless, and already got the massage it's been shipped.

I'm going the other way. I don't understand why this new knots will not be available in 21/22mm handles.

I think they’re doing a 26mm Silvertip for a portuguese FB group…

#therre is a note on the website saying they are unable to ship to United Kingdom. Is this Brexit payback?

(Semogue Owners Club Special Edition 2012 Mistura, SOC Cherry Wood Finest, SOC Taj Synthetic Sylver, SOC Ash Wood Boar, SOC Butterscotch Finest)

I've given mine a few uses, and so far my impression is it's closest to the Simpson "Platinum Fibre", but not quite identical. The color is slightly different (more with a reddish tint rather than the yellowish hue of the Simpson fibre), but the tip softness and overall rigidity are very similar. It is somewhat reluctant to spread and stays rather small in the face. Another comparison is the Muhle Silvertip Fibre, but again the color is somewhat different (the Semogue is whiter) and the Muhle has more flexibility to the fibres. (Muhle does have a spread between narrower and broader bound knots though, so it probably varies in similarity.)
