No time to post as we got ready for a day at Wimbledon, my wife having bagged a pair of late tickets. Fantastic day's sport, crap day's railway disruption. Near BBS, 8.5/10 shave finish and the blade's been retired.

Aftershave Balm: Bulldog Sensitive
Aftershave: Old Spice Original

A relaxing day with a shave to match. The highly proficient combination of razor and blade, lubricated by creamy lather, delivered a fine BBS+, 9.5/10 result. A couple of weepers and a minor nick on the upper lip reminded me no pressure is required, soon dried with styptic pencil. Old Spice Original AS to round off for the sheer joy of it.

The Karve Copper. Shaves just as good as the Brass version (the only other alloy model that I own from Karve). It is just a superbly crafted safety razor. Without question, it’s the smoothest threaded stud to handle action I’ve ever experienced. CB/Karve has their business & sales issues that I have no care in explaining nor the time to dissect on what has gone wrong in the past to present for this razor maker. One thing is for certain though and I say it without any reservations whatsoever. This is a world class produced razor that not only competes but, also hangs side by side with the best artisan razor producers (Blackland, Timeless, Wolfman, Rocnel, ATT, HomelikeShaving and yes, Razorock plus a few others) here & abroad. It’s not a jewel like production as in a Wolfman which is on another level in terms of finish but, in terms of craftsmanship, quality, shave performance and price value it’s an elite level product, hands down. A wonderful day and shaves to all….​

Day 2 of the Great British Bart-Off so essentially the same setup, apart from a Gillette Super Blue out, and a London Bridge in. Superb two pass shave which on any other day would have ended with the witch hazel as my skin felt great after such a smooth run.

After a period of absence due to nagging commitments, today I bring back the window, in better shape than ever.
During my absence from the public scene it I found some soaps forgotten for years and, the Weleda, was a very pleasant surprise.

Made with organic and carefully selected raw materials, it has excellent performance and a lovely lavender scent at a very reasonable price.
When I tried it I was a newbie, caught in the maelstrom of novelties, I had not been able to appreciate it.

I do now, coram populo!
