Rockwell the Holy Grail of Shaving? I think not. It's almost never mentioned alongside Timeless, Blackland, ATT, Wolfman, Pils and all the high end makers. And different baseplates have become common, Karve being preferable to Rockwell these days. And then there's the Razorock Game Changer....

Yes I know - I got that. But the Holy Grail of Shaving? While Karve has gone upmarket with OC choices, Rockwell looks like it's going downmarket. It was an interesting company for a while, but it no longer even leads the alternative baseplate market.

This is good point. Rockwell has not been able to produce hit products after their stainless steel model. Karve is the big name at the moment.

I think the 6S was made in the US while the 6C was made in China. However I believe there has been talk of production for the 6S being moved to China, whether this is or has happened i’m not sure about.

Not yet tried Wolfman or Pils but the Rockwell knocked spots off Blackland, Timeless, ATT and a number of others for me. YMMV
All I can say owning a Wolfman OC is that my Rockwell 6c is none too shabby compared to it in the shave it will give. Build wise there is no comparison, the Wolfman wins that hands down. You have to ask yourself whether you buy a razor for the shave it can give or for that and build quality when you are looking for the holy grail. You can buy a hell of a lot of Rockwell 6c razor for the price of one Wolfman and lokely not tell much of a difference in the shave.

Extraordinarily Uncomplicated
My opinion - the Rockwell 6s is the Holy Grail of SS adjustable razors not produced across the Pacific for under $100 (£75 before no deal exchange rate).
Unless the razor is a Wolfman, being the "best new razor" lasts for a year or so - then comes the new "best new razor." I agree with @les24preludes and other comments above - Rockwell has not introduced new successful products.
