How did the beautiful duck shave, Rob?

Very comfortable - I re-set the bevel on 1k synthetic and progressed with 3 and 5k then switched to my JNat to finish. Using just 1 piece of Kapton tape ensured that the bevel was tiny and pretty even all along.

That looks great. I’m a fan of kirinite - not the easiest material to work with but very stable and polishes nicely. What will make a difference is that I’ve found a UK stockist that supplies in 3mm whereas previously I had to thin down from about 5mm.

Just a heads up... I have another dubl duck Goldedge coming from Revisor. This time in 8/8. I think it will be scaled in Black Pearl Kirinite..

This just came a few days ago from Revisor. A vintage 8/8 Carl Schulze #14 NOS without a factory edge. It's going off to Alfredo, for new Kirinite scales tomorrow..
