Proraso Eucalyptus & Menthol

In the past I've used pears hand soap as a pre shave. 100% glycerine.
I actually did a search for the Cube in the UK and the only supplier was out of stock, so went down the glycerine soap route and bought a bar of Pears fortified with Aloe Vera & Olive oil 🤷🏻‍♂️
If it doesn’t slick my face up, at least I’ll have the benefit of being detoxified if the box is to be believed - whatever that means….yeah right!

Not quite sure how this moved from Proraso Green but at the moment I've been secretly using a bar of soap my wife has and it's a great preshave! It keeps getting smaller and smaller and I'm hoping she is unaware of its shrivelling size 🙄 .

It's as slippery as ...

But very similar to the effect Pears gives
Now that sounds really nice - there wasn’t a like and laugh combined emoticon to respond - shame they’re so limited in their scope.
If it works as well as you say, seems like money welll spent. My bar from Savers was 95p, but don’t mind paying for a product that does the job.

Further to my earlier post, in all seriousness, I now believe hot water alone does a lot of good as a pre-shave.

Beyond that use hot water with any soap that leaves your face feeling moisturised and slick.

Prefacing this with the comment that I wanted this variation to my shave routine to work.
I think I’ve given it a fair go and can definitely say that for my skin, it’s not as good as the Proraso pre-shave product.
The level of slickness achieved with the soap on my skin simply cannot compete with Proraso. In addition, the post shave feeling to the face was fairly telling. After using the soap, my beard area felt like it had been shaved with a razor on a far more aggressive setting than when shaving using the Proraso pre-shave using the same razor setting.
It’s purely a preference thing, but I’m going back to the Proraso and leaving the soap in the soap dish where it belongs.

Don’t need any sort of pre shave other than to wash my face in the shower. Hot water in the sink to shave with and job jobbed. I have tried it but it’s superfluous in my example.

I have dug out the quarter pot i have left of Proraso Green Menthol and Eucalyptus pre-shave cream, because in this hot weather it is very refreshing and cooling. As said earlier, i dont think its an essential product, but it sure feels good on the face :okay:
