Pils razor

Came across pils razor today and done ABIT of digging. Not much I do out there or videos. But from the bit of digging done, I've figured it's a mild razor. Just from looks I want to buy one. Can anyone pitch in on feedback or experience before I make a mistake possibly. Sincerest respects as always gentleman. J ❤🥃

You’ve figured it right, it’s a mild razor. It is heavy and needs a shallow angle (handle perpendicular to face). It offered me results similar to the Timless .38 if I recall correctly.

I purchased a Pils on here a number of months back. It’s a very modern looking razor, quite futuristic tbh. It has I closed sides ... no sharp corners of the blade protruding 🥴 as for a shave, yes it’s very mild, but extremely deceptive. Feels like it’s not cutting through the hairs, and when you check they have gone. Extremely smooth to use. It would be a good daily shaver. Mine doesn’t get much use in truth as I like my razors a bit more aggressive.

There is a bit of a learning curve with the PILS as it is quite angle specific but if you hold the angle it’s superb. It’s mild on the face but it’ll easily handle a few days' growth if you ask it to. Mine's a keeper.

Wonderful razor, it’s a mild razor and for me took some learning with regards to the angle. If you get that right then you get a great shave, easy BBS. I sold it because I couldn’t get that every time despite practice. It’s also a head heavy razor, so for me not well balanced.

It’s a looker that’s for sure!!

About shaving charateristics, almost everything has been said in this thread.
But while most of the modern SS razors are using the 3-piece design, the Pils is a 2-piece razor on which the baseplate is connected to the handle by a screw that allows the baseplate to spin.
Some people (me excluded) have the opinion that the original Pils handle is thin and slippery. The 2-piece design makes exchaning of the handle more difficult but not impossible. In the past, Triad offered some handles fitting the Pils, today, as I understand Tibam offers handles that work with the Pils.

I do not use my Pils often but I love this razor!
