A farmer I know once shot a Canada goose and lugged the gert heavy thing over three fields so that his wife could cook it. After a good roast in the oven it was still too tough to carve, but they managed to hack some off and put it in the pressure cooker. They were then able to get bits off it but it was still as tough as old boots so it got thrown into the yard for the dogs. They dragged it around for a day or so but it was still largely intact so he saw his arse and threw it into the midden. Six months later it went through the muck spreader and that finally put paid to it.

He didn't shoot another.
That’s like cooking a Northern Loon: Fill a large stock pot with water, add salt and bring water to boil. Add the Loon to the boiling water together with a rock about the size of the Loon. Boil for approximately 2 hours. Carefully drain the a water from the pot, discard the Loon and eat the rock.:hungry:
