Remember Parker?
The razor. Not the pen.
For some reason I don't see many Parker razors in the SOTD photos but that might change this year as Parker is stepping it up. Big time.

1) Adjustable
An adjustable is coming late this summer (which technically should be a few weeks ago...so stay tuned for it to drop any day hopefully)

Material: Unknown
Parker Model number: Unknown
Price: Unknown
Availability: "End of Summer, 2016"

2) Barberpole TTO

Material: Chrome plated brass (and assumed zamak head)
Parker Model number: 87R
Specs: Weight: 87 grams/3.03 oz, 3inch handle
Price: $27-29
Availability: Now. Came out in January, 2016

Comparison from, from the internet (Bondage007), between: Russian Kazan, Parker 87R and Gillette Fatboy

In direct comparison, I think the Kazan takes the Parker version, aesthetically at least. No idea of the price/finish/build quality though.

I do like the Kazan as well to be honest. Just a tad worried that the handle would be way too short for me as the Parker is already only 3 inches..

One Kazan here for $49

Maybe that is what is striking more of a chord for me, the fact that it is spookily similar in scale to a Rocket HD.

Yeah seems like the Russians were quite fond of that scale and look. They also had a "Volga" razor that is very similar but with different knurling.

I'm guessing that Soviet Russia had a similar laxity towards international copyright law as the Chinese.:whistling:

The adjustable, the TTO or that Parker is stepping up its game? :)
I like the Parker although it does feel like we are collectively moving up in the world with a lot of money being invested in products we want. This can only be good for us.

I'm rather curious about their upcoming adjustable - what material and price point it will have.

Update
I just heard back from the US distributor and they are expecting to have the adjustable in stock soon.

I've known about the Parker adjustable since June. Is there finally a razor I knew about before DB?

The Kazan is new to me though. First Soviet razor I've seen that didn't look like it was made from spare motorcycle parts.

Lol I surely snoozed on this one.
Got my sticky tentacles out to see if I can snag one though...
