One blade for February challenge..?

I have been using the same side (marked 1-2) of my Gillette Blue 7 0clock blade for the last 5 shave and still no problems.
Will let you know if I survive 6th later on. This blade has exceeded my expectations thus far as the most times I have ever used a blade and it was a feather blade was
6 shaves but I have nearly achieved that on 1 side of a Gillette Blue 7 0clock blade, amazing.

Yep still in,
8 Shaves and the blade is still very good. It hasn't tugged or pulled and there is no irritation.
These Gillette are dearer but outstanding.

9 Shaves in and still no problems, I used this little baby today

and a little Valobra Fougere, Got a fantastic shave.

10 shaves in and still going strong! I'm using the same soap all month too. An unexpected bonus of this game is that it gives me the chance to really see which razors are keepers and which are going in the "B Ark".

Sorry Gentlemen. I am late to this particular party but I was wondering. Is this a one month 30 shave challenge? Some folk, me included do not shave every day so my blade would probably only get 12-15 uses in any one month. Just asking. As the one soap challenge though it is a great idea.

I am the same as yourself Wayne, it's day 15 and I have only had 9 shaves...well 10 tomorrow.

I thought the idea was that (following your normal shave pattern) see how long into February you can make a blade last. If it dies, replace it with a blade of the same type and carry on. 11 this morning for me.

Eh nope!
You have One blade, just a Single blade and you see if you can get through the month on it.
There have been some suggestions of of possible honing of that blade using drinking glasses but one blade is all you've got Uncle Bertie.
10 Shaves in and still no problems.

I took the blade out and had a look at it, Still looked good. So I Gently stropped it on a towel.
12 shaves Done, No Tugging, No Cuts
13 Is my Favourite number so it better not let me down.

14 today and still going.

If my vintage Wilkos and Gillette Platinum last 10 shaves each on average then I've got about 7 years stashed away. This blade may not last quite as long as the 19 shave wonder though.

I'm in uncharted territory with this Gillette Platinum blade, I've Never had so many shaves from a single blade.

Shave 15 in the One Blade House. I'm definitely feeling the blade now, it's more like a Rapira Swede than the extremely smooth and sharp tool I've been using for the past fortnight. I'm bringing a spare Wilko into the bathroom tomorrow

I'll try a glass honing today as a last resort.

Shave 16 did not happen with the Wilko. I've swapped to another of the same type which will easily see me through to March.

Well I had my 14th shave today, with just the slightest tug of the blade but No sign redness afterwards. I may try Honing or Stropping the blade next but the 15th shave will be interesting to say the least. Heard anything about Lord Fatboy? he seems to have been silent during the challenge!!!
