It's ready !
A few weeks ago in a yard sale, I found this nice vintage Gong "3100" straight razor :
Nice, but pitted with rust. It spent a full night in 14% vinegar, and I spent hours and hours sanding it...
But I was unable to restore a correct edge with my sharpening stones. So I took the razor to my local cobbler/grinder.
I'm lucky to still have such a shop in town...
The shop called me on the phone today : it's ready.
I can't wait to get it back and try to shave with it.

- Made in Solingen, Germany, probably some 80-100 years ago.
- Blade is "Solinger Magnetstahl" carbon steel (still magnetic BTW). Scales are celluloid.
