This arrived today. Ordered on the evening of the 16th, so basically 4 days from Canada to my door in the UK. Nice one Italian Barber.
You'll have to excuse my poor photo composition and editing skills - I only have a camera phone and the light in my house is terrible.
Very pleased with the razor though. Wasn't sure about my handle choice since other options seem to be more popular. Holding it in my hands I know I made the right call - the HD handle is hefty but relatively compact and nimble, which is what I like. Couldn't work out what plate to get so I ordered both.
Just completed a first shave on the .84 plate with a Feather and huge gobbets of slick, cushioning Haslinger. During the first pass I was thinking to myself that the .68 plate was going to be superfluous to requirements as the razor was milder than I expected. During the second pass I started to feel the blade a little and by the 3rd pass I realised that the razor is deceptively smooth and I probably needed to be a bit less loosey-goosey with it than I first thought. It certainly isn't up there with my Fatips in terms of aggression, but neither is it as mild as a 34c, which is kind of where I pegged it based on the first few strokes.
Very happy with the end result - BBS in 3 passes and some touch-ups. Tiny bit of irritation in one spot on my neck where I went ATG with a bit less care than required - entirely down to user error and over-confidence based on the smoothness of the razor. Next shave will be with the 0.68 plate, but if that goes well I think I am probably going to be happy with the idea of 0.68 for one or two days of growth and 0.84 for the times when I go a few days without shaving. That said, I can imagine that with a less aggressive blade than the Feather, the 0.84 could easily be a daily driver. I have ordered another top cap so I can have both plates set up and ready to go. That way, I won't have to choose!

The idea that someone even needs to exfoliate when a sharp blade will do that better than the fibre of a brush has always troubled me. Also that men are under the impression the skin needs to be exfoliated constantly. There are a lot of myths in this hobby.

Agreed. When you consider the length of stubble usually shaved it certainly isn't laid down on the skin and doesn't need lifting, not that a brush would lift it. Even if you are shaving off a full beard you are only shaving the 0.3mm or less next to the skin.

edit: might as well add the latest parcel to arrive this week. Technically it is a May acquisition but, due to the company that deals with Spanish customs being absolute twats, I only managed to get it delivered three days ago.
More backup for my Catie's Bubbles R&B Black Bergamot back-up stash.

I still love it though. I managed to lose myself last Christmas at a family get together. My nephew had some so I nicked his set. I had a great evening, along with a Single Malt.

I got this for £126.99 on Amazon, but cheaper than the Lego shop. Took over an hour just on the rear axle and gear box. Quite complicated this one.I can't believe the price of Lego these days. "How much!" Laffin!

Wow, just read the description on this ond, haven't seen it anywhere. Ysl Rive Gauche is my favorite scent ever. How close it is to other soaps in that scent, if you know?

I haven't tried YSL Rive Gauche and can't really comment upon Classic Two's similarity. I only know what Ryan has written in his T+S website. Likewise, other soaps.
