A bit of an extravagant purchase of this Shave bar, modest purchase price raised by high Postage costs. Wanted to see how it compared with Mogno.

How's that Mogno? Saw it in Lisbon, at the airport, during a stopover, and was intrigued, but I found it to be rather pricey (or that's what I remember). I decided that that money would be better spent on some fine Port, and it was the correct choice... But I am still intrigued.

APShaveCo Cashmere 26mm knot arrived today.

Not used it yet but can comment on the construction which I'm very impressed with. No inverted hairs, even halo and best of all the glue bump is non-existent! Measured directly above the glue plug there is perhaps 3mm of discernible bump... Once set in the handle there is nothing at all, just like a Simpson's.

Thanks Wayne, these Alpha handles are really nicely made and once you've added a couple of 2p spacers they're quite weighty.

I've not used it yet but set at 54mm loft and pushing it against my face I would say it's similar to the old Plisson L'Occitane brush for backbone... Only bigger and denser.

I can't give a number without using it first, all I can say is it splays with ease

I have to agree with @RandySp. 0 backbone with the Cashmere. If you’re looking for a knot with decent backbone then the Simpsons Trafalgar is the one for you.
