About 10 years ago I went in to a shop in Harrogate and bought 20 of a product that many people wanted and was now obsolete, I bought the last in the Uk. I offered them to others at the same price I paid, £6 each, they went all over the world, what an idiot. Within a couple of months these people sold them on at £90 each.

What was it? I'm trying to think of a product from ten years ago at the six pound mark that's now extinct...

Not a shaving item CP, Montblanc used to make a fountain pen ink in British Racing Green, very popular and even used by the head of MI5. and other MI5 employees were not allowed to write in green ink. Then MB pulled the plug, I was in Jespers in Harrogate and saw a bottle on the shelf at £5.90, 'do you have any more', I bought a box full and sold them at the purchase price thinking I was doing people a favour.

For years people tried to replicate the colour, they nearly got it.

Even empty bottles now sell for £10

I like the box (?) that its standing on.

An engineer will tell you that 316 is simply a decent, high grade steel. Its not that expensive to buy or machine.

Advertising will tell you its the purest, strongest, most exclusive and most amazing "316 Grade" steel ...... :giggle::giggle::giggle:
