I strongly prefer the G5C premium synthetic knots from Japan only, against the G5A & G5B from Germany.Has anyone tried this new knot from AP Shave, extra dense or standard? I’m hoping it avoids that pokey feeling the most recent fibres had.
How would you say it compares to the Pure Bliss knot?View attachment 161328
@Ventastic rest assured- there is no glue bump. The glue base is just a plastic cup holding the knot. This XL dense knot is set at 55-56mm and the glue bump is less than 4mm.
So do I, I have a couple of the G5C knots: 26 and 28mm, and prefer the smaller.I strongly prefer the G5C premium synthetic knots from Japan only, against the G5A & G5B from Germany.

The new Sorona fibres. I would say the Pure Bliss is a touch scrubbier (not in a bad way) whereas the STF is plusher. How would you say it compares to the Pure Bliss knot?
I realised that the loft of the G5C is a bit short for my liking and started preferring Pure Bliss (both at 28mm), but I've been wondering about the new dense++ 25mm knot.
Is yours using the new Sorona fibres or the older ones?
Has anybody seen, heard or read a G6, G7, G8 and G9 synthetic knots? I have no idea where they're from?
Information and details would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, it varies somewhat, depending on who you'd be buying from - e.g. dscometic has a G7 knot, which is similar to a G5C, but it's a bit different. It isn't a bad knot, but they do suffer from tall glue bumps, and I ended up annihilating mine to save the handle.Has anybody seen, heard or read a G6, G7, G8 and G9 synthetic knots? Opinions on these brush makers - any real difference?
I'm wanting to get a nice handmade handle with a synthetic brush. Something different than my WCS Simpson knock-off and my Atomic Rocket from PAA. I'm looking in the $50-$100 range. I'm not a collector, so I'd like to find something unique (ish). These small-batch brushmakers caught my eye on...www.badgerandblade.com
