Following on from this: I have recently competed a design and manufacture of a new razor handles, Alpha Fusion Super Leggero - meaning super light in Italian. The handle will come in 5 weighting options that will, from the outside, look identical. At roughtly 16g for the basic handle and ranging up to 55-60g for the upper weighted options, the Super Leggero Fusion can boast to be the lightest quality composite razor handle on the market right now. Ready for sale in about 10 days at a VERY reasonable price. Look at some photos dear friends - this is the REAL DEAL - no renders, no mock-ups. Just pure, super light, Fusion. End caps are titanium, tube is Carbon Fibre Composite. More details to follow.

I will admit, this is an awesome looking handle. I don't know if these are the adjustable balance point handles that you initially mentioned but, these are primo looking razor handle porn shots. :notworthy:

I like the idea of adjustable weight/balance. Never felt I missed such a thing, but it might add a new dimension that would appeal to some, me included. Happy that it is not aluminium, it is too soft a metal. I will be looking forward to how this develops.
The new extra light handle appeals to me too. I love light-weight razors, so the head would have to be light weight too, but the design and idea behind it are neat.

Hi Guys - still waiting for the mail man to bring the glue - once that is done I can get these listed and ready to go. Right now I have a few weighting options. I might add a few more once I get all of my materials in place. Now without going into too much detail how I am going to do it here are the current options:-

Weighting Options (selected on checkout) :

  • Weight Forward - the weight will be concentrated towards the razor head - 55g total weight
  • Weight Rearward - the weight will be concentrated towards handle base - 55g total weight
  • Weight Neutral - the weight will be evenly balanced - 55g total weight
  • Unweighted - Super Leggero (17g). No ballast, no weights - the lightest quality razor handle available in the market
  • Mid-Weighted Neutral - Medio Leggero (26g) The handle will be neutral weighted

I hope this wets your whistle - the price? I am thinking under $70 plus shipping. These handles do look AWESOME with the Outlaw Evolution Titanium razor head too...

Lovely.
Just shared.

I'd like to see pics / video about how to adjust and use it.
@AlphaShaving @carbold can you help?

This one is not "home" adjustable. A later iteration will be. But thats way down the road. I may sell it as a kit and folks can self assemble and set their own rules - not decided yet. It might be too much hassle for most people.

Hidden inside though is a system of ballast weights that allow the user to not only vary the weight of the handle but to also vary the balance point too. So you can add weights, take weights away and vary the handle weight by up to 24g in 6g increments. The base handle weight is 67g. Now - the weights that you add or deduct also have a threading on them. The internals of the handle also have threading on them so.... in this way you can vary the position of the weights to perfectly balance your razor. It is all sealed and protected from dirt and soap. I will be adding sealing rings to the design.
Pics / video of this.
How the owner can adjust weight and balance?
