Completed Need your help with decision!

Hello! I'm relatively new to wet shaving(about a year in). I'm not planning on buying too much stuff yet, but now I have some money to spend. Ive been shaving with Wilkinson Sword classic, Proraso green and some drug store synthetic brush. What do you think I should buy first to improve my shaves. I have somewhat of a sensitive skin, but don't really get ingrowns, just pimples if vey irritated. Thanks for any help in advance!

How about a nice balm? Barts balms are lovely. I also love bulldog original moisturiser post shave. In addition I think finding a blade that suits your face is definitely worthy of investigation. I use gilette yellows Both of these options are very reasonably priced.

Thanks for recommendations, but I have Bart's already. I am in search of some of those three things. But good recommendation anyway, thanks! And shipping would cost the same amount as the balm anyway. My uncle got me the balm when he was on vacation.

Another option is an adjustable razor . I spent a lot of money finding my fav razor. With your Wilkinson sword it will be marginal gains. However definitely my favourite shaving product is my favourite razor . I never went adjustable and bought things that were too aggressive or mild.

I'd go for a Muhle/Edwin Jagger 89 and a blade sampler pack. The De 89 is a proper razor you can use for life and a blade sampler pack will tell you what blade suits your skin so you can buy more of them. Both will help to improve your shaves and will not cost you a lot to buy. Once you get more proficient your skin will settle nicely.

If you’re looking to explore the rabbit hole...

I’d buy Wayne’s PILS on the BST. Learn its angles, tame it, and keep the soap and brush the same. Look to upgrade the brush to a better quality synth in the summer but not at the same time as changing your soap. Use one pack of blades to completion before moving onto another brand.

If you just want to fall down into it and go full Alice in Wonderland, just buy everything.

If your Wilkinson Sword Classic is the black plastic one with a metal rod in the handle, then you might be interested in knowing that it's actually somewhat adjustable - if you tighten a bit more past finger tight, the blade is going to start lifting upwards a bit, increasing blade exposure. You do need to be somewhat careful here so you wouldn't twist the plastic thread off, but
If you have the newer twist to open Wilkinson Sword Classic, then this wouldn't really apply.

Your blade is one of the best there is, Proraso is fantastic, now you need a DE 89 and THIS.

Is that boar not too rough on the skin, because it seems like a good deal, and the handle is amazing, I will consider buying that!
