Overexposure for you as a child, Steve? I’m unfamiliar with those characters, so for three and a half minutes I thought it was entertaining. But yes, I can see it wearing thin week after week.
Norman Wisdom was a comedy film star in the 1950s and 60s, his comedies filled cinemas, admittedly this was back in the pre TV days when a cinema trip was a weekly event for many families.

Typically he played the same goofy character who was always getting into ridiculous situations. Possibly an English Lucille Ball?

Fraudsters have tried to pay for goods using my credit card, close to £2000.

Credit card company phoned this morning, they have declined all the payments and wanted to check when the last legitimate payment that I made. The payments just looked odd to them, so good work.

To have tried to pay they would have needed the long card number and the three digit security code, which I don't use as a rule but the card company would not be drawn on that. I am guessing a data breach somewhere.

Card has now been cancelled and a new card with new numbers is on its way. Cannot get in to my online account but I assume it is all good.

This might be linked to an increase in Spam over the past few days, all casino and spins related.

Work now starts on going into my accounts for those companies who legitimately need my credit card number.

glad it was caught... not sure where you are... the 1 credit card i have... customers can set-up charge alerts by a minimum amount... i get emails telling me when a purchase is made...

unfortunately fraudsters... have high-tech ways to get cc-info... seen ones inserted into store's cc-machine... that look normal to most people...

What really puzzles me is how the fraudsters knew the 3 digit security code on the back of the card, I haven't used it in many years, the card company also said that my card information was logged with a few companies that I had not done business with.
